Political pressure is to be piled on the Local Government Association (LGA) to strengthen its wavering position on the controversial two-child benefit cap. 

Some LGA insiders have expressed disappointment that the association has no concrete plans to even discuss the issue as Labour Prime Minister Keir Starmer refuses to immediately axe the cap.
