Bid to cut waste

Community groups and charities in Greater Manchester invited to bid for cash to start projects to help reduce landfill waste.

Community groups and charities in Greater Manchester have been invited to bid for cash to start projects which could help reduce landfill waste and increase recycling.

Recycle for Manchester's Community Waste Fund has supported 22 local projects, ranging from residents' groups running ‘swap shop' events, to social landlords working with community projects to provide affordable furniture to people on low incomes.
