BID4Leeds to go ahead

Leeds City Council has backed plans to create a Business Improvement District (BID) in the city centre. Firms will be balloted in the New Year over the proposals to create BID4Leeds, which would be funded from a levy paid by all businesses and land owners in the region.

Leeds City Council has backed plans to create a Business Improvement District (BID) in the city centre. Firms will be balloted in the New Year over the proposals to create BID4Leeds, which would be funded from a levy paid by all businesses and land owners in the region.

 ‘Business Improvement Districts have proven very successful elsewhere and I'm sure Leeds will be the same,' said executive member for transport, Cllr Richard Lewis.
