Birmingham City Council has voted to bring the contact centre run by its controversial partnership with Capita back in-house.

Birmingham City Council has voted to bring the contact centre run by its controversial partnership with Capita back in-house, as part of a series of cost-cutting measures.

The council's cabinet voted in favour of an urgent report on the Service Birmingham contract on 30 June, which included a commitment to bring the joint venture's contact centre back in-house by the end of the year.
