Birmingham deal with Mears

Birmingham City Council has signed a £65m flagship deal with Mears to repair and refurbish homes in the north of the city.

The work will last for four-and-a-half years, with an option to extend the contract for a total of seven years. More than 300 staff will be transferred as part of the project.

‘The Birmingham tender success marks another important step for Mears and further evidence of our improved approach to business development,' said Mears chairman, Bob Holt.
