Birmingham faces grievance complaint amid senior staff restructure

Birmingham City Council has launched a senior management restructure as part of the new chief executive’s efforts to improve the authority.

The UK's largest council is facing a grievance complaint from at least one of the individuals affected by a planned senior management restructure, The MJ understands.

Birmingham City Council's new chief executive, Dawn Baxendale, recently outlined plans for a new management structure that will slim down the authority to five key directorates as part of her improvement plans - neighbourhoods, digital and customer services, inclusive growth, education and skills and adult social care.
