Birmingham in talks to rescue library

The Library of Birmingham has begun talks which could see it become a regional centre for the British Library, Birmingham City Council has announced.

Birmingham's cabinet member for skills, learning and culture, Cllr Penny Holbrook, said: ‘As with any possible cut, we will leave no stone unturned to find alternative ways forward. We will do whatever it takes to save services if possible.
