Birmingham City Council has been given a year to turn itself around or face further intervention, following the publication of a review into the council.

Birmingham City Council has been given a year to turn itself around or face further intervention, following the publication of a review into the council. 

 The Kerslake review, published today, says the council is failing to provide good services, has a habit of  ‘sweeping problems under the carpet' and looks to the government to bail it out.
