Birmingham City Council has awarded a £500,000 contract to its local Voluntary Service Council to help protect the city’s charity groups.

Birmingham City Council has awarded a £500,000 contract to its local Voluntary Service Council to help protect the city's charity and community groups.

The three-year deal will enable the Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) to support community groups on the local authority's behalf, with the BVSC taking the lead in brokering relationships between the authority and third sector organisations.
