Sally McIvor has been appointed as Blackburn with Darwen Council's new director of adult social care.

Ms McIvor has joined the council from Kirklees MBC, where she was assistant director of wellbeing and integrated services. Her considerable experience includes almost 30 years of working in social care and health in the north of England and briefly, in Australia.
