Blackpool towers again, as council investment pays off

Blackpool’s tourism businesses have enjoyed long-term growth as a result of millions of pounds of local authority-led regeneration.

Blackpool's tourism businesses have enjoyed significant long-term growth as a direct result of millions of pounds of local authority-led regeneration work, The MJ can reveal.

The findings include infrastructure work by Blackpool Council on the seafront, South Pier construction and historic tower, which brought in a combined total of almost £20m of investment.
