Blair threatens funding cut in anti-social fight

Prime Minister Tony Blair warned councils this week that their Whitehall funding could be cut unless they backed measures to tackle anti-social behaviour.

As Mr Blair plunged town halls into the frontline of a new crackdown on nuisance neighbours he said people's housing benefit would also be withdrawn if they refused to enroll on rehabilitation courses after being found guilty of anti-social behaviour.
