Who can blame Pickles for Audit Commission axe?

The Institute for Government has this week proclaimed that when the axe fell on the Audit Commission it fell too fast.

The Institute for Government has this week proclaimed that when the axe fell on the Audit Commission it fell too fast and that communities secretary Eric Pickles demolished the watchdog in a fit of pique.
