Blears urges authorities to renew public trust with Social Value Act

A former communities secretary has called on contractors and local authorities to use the new Social Value Act to restore public trust in them.

A former communities secretary has called on contractors and local authorities to use the new Social Value Act to restore public trust in them.

Speaking to The MJ, Hazel Blears said the new legislation, which came into effect on 31 January, can help businesses ‘restore their own reputations'.
