BME workers face brunt of London's job cuts

Black and minority ethnic staff at councils across London are being hit disproportionately by job cuts.

Black and minority ethnic (BME) staff at councils across London are being hit disproportionately by job cuts, evidence unearthed by the trade union Unison has suggested.

In 17 out of 27 local authorities surveyed in the capital, ethnic workers are being made redundant at a higher rate than their representation in the workforce would merit.
