The Labour leader of Bolton MBC has ruled out a cost-saving shared chief executive suggestion mooted by the Conservative Group at neighbours Bury MBC.
Bury's opposition Conservative Group is set to debate a motion tomorrow asking for the two councils to consider a shared chief executive.
Bury has just begun the recruitment process to find a full time replacement for Mike Kelly, while his Bolton counterpart Sean Harriss is to take the helm at Lambeth LBC from March.
