Bolton MBC has appointed Harrow LBC director Paul Najsarek as the council's new chief executive following a three-day assessment.

Mr Najsarek, recently served as interim head of paid service at Harrow LBC during the London borough's short-lived political experiment to do away the top role.

It is understood his strong track record in local and national regeneration, partnership working and experience improving adult social care, community and health and wellbeing services proved a key factor to his appointment.
