The Labour-controlled London Councils organisation has backed mayor Boris Johnson's efforts to clean up the capital's air pollution despite campaigners and assembly members questioning the methods chosen.

Transport for London (TfL) this week unveiled what it described as 'innovative measures' to tackle poor air quality at local pollution hot spots.
