Town hall bosses have pledged to help develop future regulations for care home providers.

Town hall bosses have pledged to help develop future regulations for care home providers in order to prevent another Southern Cross-style collapse.

Care minister Norman Lamb announced on 1 December a 12-week consultation over plans to introduce tighter regulation of major providers, and to develop contingency plans in the event of another financial failure.
