Basingstoke & Deane BC's leader has suggested his authority might break away and become a unitary if plans for a combined authority do not materialise.

Members of the council met yesterday to discuss a PwC report, which recommends the local authority should work with Hampshire CC and other councils to form a combined authority or five unitaries for the county.
