Brent LBC is facing a High Court challenge to the planned closure of half its libraries, with campaigners arguing it acted unlawfully in failing to assess the impact on the local community.

If successful, the judicial review, taking place from 19 July to 21 July, could become a landmark case opening the way for fresh waves of community-led legal actions against library closures across England.
