Bringing beauty back to life

How do you attract people to live and work in one of the loveliest places in Britain? That has been the big challenge facing the Isle of Wight Council and our partners in their drive to regenerate the economy of the South East’s smallest county. Dave Stewart explains.

Back in 2017, Isle of Wight Council set up an ambitious regeneration programme to ensure the county was recognised as a world-class place to do business, attracting inward investment and the development of new homes and industries on the Island. The aim was to ensure long-term financial self-sufficiency – and in the last 18 months, huge progress has been made towards delivering on that pledge.

Having set the regeneration ball rolling, momentum is now building and we are looking for the right people to help our ongoing commitment to make the Island a great place to grow up, live, work and visit.
