Bromsgrove DC's chief executive, Sue Nixon, has stood down after two years, due to ‘personal reasons'. Ms Nixon joined the council in March 2004, when it was experiencing ‘significant challenges'.

The council entered into a ‘voluntary engagement', with the now-defunct ODPM. Kevin Dicks corporate director of resources is acting head of paid services. Chris Kay has been appointed acting chief executive at Flintshire CC, following the retirement, by mutual agreement, of Philip McGreevy.
