Brownite MP backs bigger role for RDAs

The battle raging in Downing Street for control over the future direction of local government has been given new life by leading Brownite minister, Ed Balls.

With the White Paper just weeks away, the economic secretary to the Treasury has shed more light on the Brown camp's vision for local government, exclusively revealed in The MJ earlier this year (20 July 2006).
