We know just how daunting it can be for single parents to go looking for jobs. Imagine having to wheel a pram or keep an eye on a toddler as you prepare to be seen at a Jobcentre. Or visualise how difficult it would be to concentrate during an interview with an employment adviser while you were worrying about keeping your child occupied and safe at the same time.

This is why Buckinghamshire CC decided to do something innovative to try to help give these lone parents a better chance of getting back into work.
