The future of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) is in doubt following comments by chancellor, George Osborne, during his Budget speech.

Mr Osborne said the CRC, introduced by the former Labour government - with an added 'energy efficiency scheme' on its title - was 'cumbersome' and he would be 'seeking major savings in the administrative costs to business'.
