Budgetary help

At a Unison conference a motion is passed by delegates for trade unions to allocate training for members to understand budgetary decisions.

A motion passed by delegates at the Unison local government conference could see the trade union allocating training and resources to ensure its members are able to fully understand council budgetary decisions.

Speaking at the conference in Liverpool, Northumberland Unison branch chair, Gareth Davis, said: 'If we are asking our members to use all the tools available to them, we've got to ensure we provide the training and the support required to do that.'
