Burbage 'may carry on' in top post until 2014

Plans to end the Isle of Wight Council's top officer's employment arrangements as a contractor will be discussed next week.

Plans to end the Isle of Wight Council's top officer's current employment arrangements as a contractor and instead hire him as a member of staff will be discussed next week..

The council's employment committee will meet on 3 June to discuss a report on directly employing David Burbage, who has been working at the local authority since July 2007 and took over as head of paid service in April.
