Burnham: NHS should provide terminal home care

Shadow health secretary Andy Burnham has announced Labour plans to transfer care of terminally ill people at home from councils to the NHS.

Shadow health secretary Andy Burnham has announced Labour plans to transfer care of terminally ill people at home from councils to the NHS.

Mr Burnham said the Labour Party would make the health service responsible for co-ordinating care under plans to ensure the Government pays for the care of the terminally ill so they can die at home.
