Burrows reveals retirement plans

The outgoing chief executive of Nottinghamshire CC this week announced he will retire when he turns 60 next summer.

The outgoing chief executive of Nottinghamshire CC, Mick Burrows, this week announced he will retire when he turns 60 next summer after 19 years with the council, including more than six as chief executive.

In a bulletin sent to partners, Mr Burrows, who began his career as a casual administrative assistant at HM Land Registry in 1974 before joining the council as a regeneration project manager in 1995, wrote: ‘I will take with me many very special memories and treasured moments in what have been mainly happy yet also very challenging times.'
