Bury town planner John Leatherbarrow retires

One of Bury MBC's senior town planning officers is retiring after 36 years of service.

One of Bury MBC's senior town planning officers is retiring after 36 years of service.

Head of planning projects, John Leatherbarrow joined the authority's planning department in June 1975. He had been educated at Thornleigh College, Bolton, before graduating in town planning from Glasgow School of Art.
