Businesses have offered a mixed reaction to the Government's proposed measures for economic growth – including changes to the planning system – according to research by the CBI and accountants KPMG.

Nearly two-thirds of businesses – 65% - claim to be concerned with the local roads network, blaming congestion for a decline, as well as a lack of investment.
