Business leaders have backed a council-led plan to transform the North of England's economy.

The £15bn One North plan, which was put forward by Transport for Greater Manchester, won the George Stephenson Prize as part of the IPPR North's ‘Great North Plan' competition on 24 November for ideas to help transform the regional economy.
