Property experts have condemned the decision by ministers to postpone business rates revaluation until 2017.

Property experts have condemned the decision by ministers to postpone business rates revaluation until 2017 as 'a shot in the foot' for struggling high streets.

In a ministerial statement issued today, local government minister, Brandon Lewis, said the Government's intention to delay a revaluation of local business taxes - which last took place in 2008 – would be enacted as part of the Growth and Infrastructure Bill.
