Calderdale chief takes healthy option

Calderdale MBC chief executive, Owen Williams is stepping down from his role to become head of the area’s NHS trust.

Calderdale MBC chief executive, Owen Williams is stepping down from his role to become head of the area's NHS trust.

Mr Williams, who has been the most senior official at Calderdale MBC for four years, will shortly take over the reins of the Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. Council leader, Janet Battye, who helped appoint Mr Williams, said she had ‘enjoyed working with him' over the past few years – and praised the chief for tackling ‘long-standing challenges' at the town hall during his tenure.
