Calls for Government to improve flood management funding

Westminster must come up with a more sustainable way of funding flood management as rising costs could mean council services are cut, an umbrella group has urged.

Westminster must come up with a more sustainable way of funding flood management as rising costs could mean council services are cut, an umbrella group has urged. 

The District Councils' Network (DCN) said the current system of funding the bodies that oversee flood alleviation in the lowest-lying land areas was no longer working because of rising costs.
