Calls grow for shire roll out of City Deals

The MJ can reveal county councils across England have called on the Government to urgently roll out the City Deal packages.

County councils across England have called on the Government to urgently roll out City Deal packages to 'all areas with real ambitions to drive growth', The MJ can reveal.

The call follows deputy prime minister Nick Clegg's invite on 18 February to all 20 areas bidding for the second wave of City Deals to negotiate new powers with the Government.
