Foreign secretary David Cameron has been forced to admit he held a video call with a hoaxer claiming to be former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

Cameron was elevated to the House of Lords as a life peer to allow him to serve in Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's Cabinet after he resigned as an MP in 2016.
