The leader of Cambridge City Council has renewed calls for the authority to be bestowed unitary status.

Following the recent local elections, which saw the Conservatives lose overall control of Cambridgeshire CC, Cllr Tim Bick believes the time is right to re-evaluate support for change. He told The MJ: ‘We are a second-tier authority with a boundary that very tightly constrains the built up area of the city.'
