Cameron hails revolution in public service transparency

David Cameron has hailed the second-phase widening of the coalition’s transparency agenda.

David Cameron today said second-phase widening of the coalition's transparency agenda represents ‘a radical redistribution of power away from government to people'.

Linking proposals to the Open Public Services White Paper, due to be published within a fortnight, the prime minister said releasing increased amounts of data around schools, hospitals, criminal justice and transport networks would herald a ‘revolution in government transparency'.
