Cameron renews 'greenest government ever' pledge

David Cameron has committed government departments to reducing carbon emissions by 25% by 2015.

David Cameron has committed government departments to reducing carbon emissions by 25% by 2015, following news Whitehall has exceeded the 10:10 commitment.

Figures released today show that between 14 May 2010 and 13 May 2011, 3,000 government HQ buildings and offices, housing around 300,000 civil servants, slashed emissions by 13.8%.
