The phrase, ‘campaign in poetry, govern in prose' attributed to New York governor Mario Cuomo has never been so relevant than in the current campaign for the next Labour party leader.

Corbyn-mania reminds us that politics is a lot more than the complex and mundane realities of government and that vision, a narrative and passionate belief, however impractical, is much more exciting to the public than trading figures on deficit reduction, tax or welfare reform.
