Last week, in my regular blog, as I sat through another edition of BBC TV's Newsnight featuring the high-profile MJ columnist, Sir Stephen Bubb, arguing his corner for the third sector, I speculated why it is that local government finds it so difficult to provide spokespeople on national media.

Why do we not see someone from SOLACE on Newsnight batting for the sector in the way Sir Stephen does so well for his?
