Cardiff City Council's reserves increased by £48m despite the impact of the COVID-19 crisis.

In a new budget report covering the last financial year, the council said its general fund earmarked reserves had gone up to £102.5m ‘mainly as a consequence of the significant grant funding allocations' from the Welsh Government.
