The Maindy Flyers are getting to grips with Cardiff City Council's revamped cycle track in the Welsh capital.

The track has a new-look black surface, which has replaced the old red one, and a new BMX Pump Circuit has also been built. Track manager Dave Jackson, who was recently named as the council's employee of the year, said: ‘I'm delighted that we've been able to compete this new develop-ment in conjunction with Tarmac. ‘I feel sure that our regular track drivers will be pleased to notice a real difference in the track surface.'
