Cardiff City Council has become the latest local authority to announce it wants to start voluntary merger talks with a neighbouring authority.

Cardiff City Council has become the latest local authority to announce it wants to start voluntary merger talks with a neighbouring authority.

The local authority's cabinet voted last week to authorise leader, Cllr Phil Bale, and chief executive, Paul Orders, to start merger talks with Vale of Glamorgan Council.
