Care chief asks if hospitality staff could help tackle social care crisis

A former president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) has asked if the COVID-hit hospitality sector could release staff to tackle the crisis in social care.

A former president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) has asked if the COVID-hit hospitality sector could release staff to tackle the crisis in social care.

Writing on Twitter, executive director of adult social services at Norfolk CC James Bullion said: ‘We need an additional care workforce for the next three months to get through winter, Omicron and disruption. Can we broker the release of hospitality staff to lend across social care? £ is there.'
