Leading health experts have warned that the current social care system is ‘crumbling around us' and that the Government appears to have no strategy to tackle the situation.

The independent Commission on the Future of Health and Social Care in England published a follow up report yesterday (8 November), which warned growing problems in social care are ‘piling more pressure' onto the NHS, which is ‘struggling both financially and in terms of performance'.
