Ministers have announced new rules regarding the Better Care Fund, designed to reduce emergency admissions to hospitals.

Following a review of the first set of local plans under the Better Care Fund by the Department of Health and the Department for Communities and Local Government, health and wellbeing boards will have to aim to cut unplanned admissions by at least 3.5% - around 185,500 fewer admissions a year.
