Town hall chiefs have warned the social care funding gap is to rise to £2.9bn by the end of the decade.

Town hall chiefs have warned the social care funding gap is to rise to £2.9bn by the end of the decade.

In a joint submission to the Government's Spending Review, the Local Government Association (LGA) and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) warned the funding gap for adult social care services was growing by more than £700m a year.
